Matej Bel University
The University of Matej Bel, located in the center of Banská Bystrica, is rightly ranked at the top in the ranking of Slovak universities. Professors here are focused on the use of modern teaching methods. Therefore, their students are happy to master the curriculum in one of the 392 areas of studies at 6 faculties. Some of the study programs are not represented in other universities in Slovakia, which makes this university unique.
In 1992, it was created by the merger of two branches of Slovak University of Technology and Comenius University. This state university is now a member of the European Association of Universities. Its graduates are specialists in biology, chemistry, economics and finance, philosophy, law, and other highly demanded fields of specializations.
Graduates of the Matej Bel University have good chances of finding employment not only in Slovakia but also in other European countries, Canada and the USA. Students of the university annually undergo internships in large companies, and many of them stay there. For talented and promising students, there is an exchange program that allows them to spend the academic year abroad.

Matej Bel University for International Students
As in other public universities, you can study for free at Univerzita Mateja Bela. To do it, you need to select a program in Slovak. The cost of learning English will also be much more affordable than in other EU countries.
At 6 faculties of the university, favorable conditions have been created for the education of foreign students from all over the world. Every year, young people from the Czech Republic, France, Germany, and other countries enter the university named after Matej Bel. National and cultural diversity makes the university environment favorable for educating specialists in the field of political science, international relations, different languages, history, law, and other fields.
Faculty of Natural Sciences
Faculty graduates can have a career at a university or school as teachers of mathematics, computer science, chemistry, geography, biology, and other disciplines. Also, a young graduate can get a job in laboratories, travel agencies, and nature reserves.
