Religious sites

Most of the residents of Slovakia are Catholics, and their religion has had a huge impact on local architecture. The Capuchin Church of St. Stephen is no less famous: modest in terms of architecture, but very aesthetic building once belonged to one of the most famous monastic orders.

The Old Town is one of the oldest districts in Bratislava. It can rightfully top the list of must-see places for every foreign tourist. The Mikhailovsky Gate, the Grassalkovich Palaceand, the Devin Castle and other buildings can surprise tourists with the beauty of ancient architecture. The Old Town Hall is not just a building with a unique mix of styles – inside it is the City Museum, the exposition of which tells about the history of the city. If you feel like getting involved in art, you can visit the Slovak National Theater. It will also be interesting for everyone to see real lynxes, white tigers and antelopes. The history of the Bratislava Zoo goes back over 60 years. Its main goal is to preserve endangered species, but in the large park, children can also get acquainted with the life of prehistoric animals by looking at the figures of dinosaurs.
