Student expenses in Bratislava

The student budget in Bratislava is not that high compared to other European cities. If a student gets to study for free thanks to their knowledge of the Slovak language, such an important part of expenses as tuition fee automatically disappears. But other, no less important parts remain in effect. Let’s consider each of them in more detail.
Accommodation. Any student has the right to live in a student dorm. The fee averages 80-120 euros per month.
Food. It costs about 150 euros per month. The student can eat in the university cafeteria, or they can prepare food on their own.
Public transportation in Bratislava with a student ID will cost 13 euros per month.
In addition, all applicants are required to undergo a special medical commission. The price for it is 200 euros, and it is done once.
Thus, on average, the maintenance of a student in Bratislava takes about 240-300 euros per month. Of course, there are other items of expenditure.
