Our beloved Slovakia has risen again in the ranking of the happiest countries in the world! And even surpassed such cheerful countries as Brazil, Mexico and Jamaica. The World Happiness Report 2021 ranked Slovakia 34th.
Why do we love Slovakia so much? Well, for example, for its incredible beauty – the country amazes with its natural diversity and magnificent architecture: Bratislava Castle, the Church of St. Elizabeth, the Grassalkovich Palace – this is only a small part of the masterpieces of world architecture that the capital of Slovakia – Bratislava can boast of.
Slovakia is one of the safest countries in the world, as evidenced by the extremely low crime rate. People are so accustomed to the state of security that, living on the first floor, they leave the windows of the apartments open before leaving. There are no dangerous areas here, and no one is afraid to return home on a dark night – Slovaks live a very calm and prosperous life, which of course has a positive effect on their psychological health and longevity.
Also in Slovakia there is a very low unemployment rate – only 7.9 percent. Finding a good job here is not at all difficult, even if you have just arrived in the country and do not yet speak the language at a high level, and even more so for the local population. The average salary in the country is 1,500 euros, which is not bad at all, given the relatively low prices for housing and food. And Slovaks are also a very friendly and cheerful nation! People here are not used to sinking into despondency, they value lightness and cheerfulness very much, so you would rather meet an elderly couple who drinks beer and laugh while sitting on the summer terrace of a coffee shop than sadly watching TV at home.
In general, we can say with confidence that Slovakia is an amazing country, life in which charges with positive and joy, and it is very easy to be happy here!
