Slovakia is an amazing country with a high standard of living, low unemployment, stunning beauty of nature and magnificent architecture! In addition, Slovakia is located in the very center of Europe, which means that any movement between European countries will cost you very cheap and take very little time.
So where can you go on vacation or even a weekend from Slovakia? The most obvious answer is anywhere! Want to go to Germany on Friday? No problem! In a few hours you will get from cozy Bratislava to noisy youthful Berlin by train or bus. Slovak trains are very comfortable and equipped with Wi-Fi, so you can even use your time on the way: watching movies, reading articles or getting ready for couples that will start after your fun weekend! Do not forget that Slovakia borders with Austria, and the journey from Bratislava to the capital of Austria – Vienna will take only one hour! It’s surprising, considering that sometimes, even within the same city, we can spend much more time on moving. A bus ticket will cost you only 4 euros – and now you are already drinking delicious Viennese coffee and eating a real Austrian strudel overlooking the Schönbrunn Palace!
And if you want to choose a more southerly direction, for example, Italy or Spain – it’s easy! Flights in Europe are several times cheaper than we are used to! So travel to Rome, Barcelona or even Paris will be as budgetary as possible if you are lucky enough to live in the center of Europe.
And, of course, the most logical direction near Slovakia is the Czech Republic – the native “sister” of a small European country. You will remember a weekend in Prague for a lifetime, as it is one of the most beautiful and hospitable cities in the world.
